| I deleted a few of the last posts because after seeing here, they didn't make sense. I wasn't that drugged up! Everything has gone very well. Brian's creatinine was at 10.1 the night before the transplant. When I left today, it was 1.6. It had not been below 4 since he found out he was sick April 2004. He is moving into the townhouse at UAB tomorrow and will continue to do great. I have had soooo much of an easier time with this than I ever imagined. Don't get me wrong, there was pain involved, but not as bad as I had expectations at. The nurses were awesome. We had our favorites, of course, but all in all it was a great experience. The whole coughing/burping thing hurts pretty bad. I am trying the pillow trick, but it doesn't help that much. After seeing how much better Brian is getting, and after going through this whole process, I know now more than ever I did the right thing. It is worth every little tinge of pain I have to see the relief on his face. I don't know what else to say right now...I am going to try to catch up on everything I have missed this week. |
